Rep. Berrios, Illinois Attorney General’s Office Partner to Teach Seniors about Identity Theft and Fraud

CHICAGO – State Rep. Maria A. “Toni” Berrios, D-Chicago, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office will host a Silver Beat Seminar to help seniors protect themselves from identity theft and avoid becoming victims of fraudulent acts and scams. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 17 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Kelvyn Park Senior Suites located at 2715 N. Cicero Avenue in Chicago.
“As an elected official, I am committed to providing our seniors with the information and resources necessary to protect themselves from potential fraudulent acts and identity theft,” Berrios said. “There are new scams and frauds that take advantage of our most vulnerable citizens, and this seminar will offer tips to avoid becoming a victim of these threats.”
