Representative Berrios is committed to ensuring public safety through House Bill 5698 and House Bill 3878. 

Representative Berrios has focused her efforts on bettering those who representIllinoiswith HB 5698. This bill amends that within 60 days after the Department of Revenue issues a final decision for any elected official who has failed to file a return, or failed to pay all or a portion of the tax due under the ACT, that elected official must pay all such delinquent amounts, together with any penalties and interest, or resign from that elected office.

With the support of Representative Berrios on HB 3878, individuals with disabilities will have better resources to request assistance at gas stations and service stations. HB 3878 requires gas stations to add an accessible calling device or to post the phone number of the station directly on gas pumps to make it easier for people with disabilities to communicate with gas station employees. It also requires gas stations to provide fueling assistance upon request by any person with a mobility disability.
